A month ago, the Oppo Find X8 series was launched in the Chinese market with the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset and impressive cameras. Today, the brand launched the two phones in the global market.
There is no change in the specifications of the global market. The Oppo Find X8 has a flat frame design and a flat display on the front. On the other hand, the Oppo Find X8 Pro gets a micro quad-curved display and hence a rounded frame. Both phones feature an alert slider on the left side. Both are IP68 & IP69-certified and have Gorilla Glass 7i protection.
Under the hood, there is the same MediaTek Dimensity 9400 SOC with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB UFS 4.0 storage. The Oppo Find X8 has a 5,630mAh battery, while the Find X8 Pro has a 5,910mAh battery. Both phones support 80W wired and 50W wireless charging.
Speaking of the displays, the Oppo Find X8 has a 6.59-inch 1.5K 10-bit LTPO AMOLED display with a 4500 nits peak brightness and 120Hz refresh rate. The Find X8 Pro has a larger 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The phones have an optical under-display fingerprint scanner.
Finally, let’s talk about the cameras. The Oppo Find X8 has three cameras on the rear. The primary camera has a 1/1.56″ 50MP Sony LYT-700 sensor with an f/1.8 aperture lens and OIS. The ultrawide camera has a 1/2.75″ 50MP Samsung HN5 sensor. Finally, there is a third periscope telephoto camera with a 1/1.95″ 50MP Sony IMX882 sensor, 3x optical zoom, and OIS. This persicope telephoto camera has a triple prism folded lens design.
The Oppo Find X8 Pro has a primary camera with a 1/1.4″ 50MP Sony LYT-808 sensor with an f/1.6 aperture lens and OIS. The ultrawide camera is the same as the vanilla model, and so is the 3x periscope telephoto camera. The fourth camera has a periscope telephoto camera with a 1/2.51″ 50MP Sony IMX858 sensor, 6x optical zoom, f/4.3 lens, and OIS. The Find X8 Pro also has a dedicated button on the right side that you can use to quickly launch the camera and shoot photos or record videos.
Finally, both phones run on ColorOS 15 out of the box.
In the Indian market, the Oppo Find X8 starts at ₹69,999 for the 12GB + 256GB variant, and the price goes up to ₹79,999 for the 16GB + 512GB variant. The Oppo Find X8 Pro comes in a single 16GB + 512GB variant, and the price is ₹99,999 in India.
