What a design!

Release Date

Starting Price
¥3999 (~$563)

The Oppo Find X6 series was launched in China in March last year, and the main USP of the series was the design and cameras. Today, the brand launched the Find X7 series in China, and in this article, we will discuss the vanilla model, the Oppo Find X7. This is the successor to the Find X6 and comes with some notable upgrades.

The design is pretty different. While the phone still has a circular camera module like the Find X6, the arrangement of the sensor is different. Instead of the full “Hasselblad” branding, the camera module has just the “H”. There are four color options, two of which have a two-tone design on the back with glass on the top and vegan leather on the bottom.

The phone is IP65 certified, an upgrade from the IP64 rating of the Find X6.

Under the hood, the Oppo Find X7 has the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 chip, the most powerful chip from MediaTek.

The USP of this chipset is its CPU since it is the first mobile SOC to have the all-big core configuration. In other words, the octa-core CPU has all performance-centric cores only. There are no efficiency-focused cores. There are four Cortex-X4 cores and four Cortex-A720 cores. The GPU is the Immortalis-G720.

For better thermals, the phone has an aerospace-grade cooling system inside. There is a large 5,000mAh battery with 100W fast wired charging support.

There is a curved display on the front. It is a 6.78-inch 1.5K (2780 × 1264 pixels) OLED display with 4500 nits peak brightness, LTPO technology (1-120Hz), Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and 10-bit color depth.

Speaking of cameras, the Oppo Find X7 has three on the rear. The primary camera has a 50MP 1/1.4″ Sony LYT-808 sensor with OIS. The ultrawide/macro camera has a 50MP sensor with a 119-degree FOV lens. The periscope telephoto camera has a 64MP OmniVision OV64B sensor with OIS and 3x optical zoom. For selfies, there is a 32MP sensor.

The front and rear cameras can shoot 4K videos, but while the rear camera can shoot 4K 60fps videos, the front camera is limited to up to 30fps.

Finally, the phone runs on ColorOS 14, based on Android 14.
