The Find X series by Oppo also makes it to the list when we talk about smartphones with incredible cameras. The Find X5 series was launched in February last year & they were the first Oppo phones to feature Hasselblad branding & the in-house MariSiliconX Imaging NPU. Today, the company launched the Find X6 series in the Chinese market. Like last year, there are two flagships – Oppo Find X6 & Oppo Find X6 Pro. But unlike last year, these phones might not be coming to the markets outside China.

OPPO FIND X6

Oppo Find X6

Unlike the Find X5 series, which had a similar design to the Find X3 series, the design of the Find X6 series gets a complete revamp. A massive circular camera module on the back features a triple camera setup & a dual-tone finish. The camera module has the Hasselblad and the MariSilicon branding. Oppo has added periscope cameras on both phones this year, hence that square cutout in the camera module.

The Find X6 comes in three colors, with the black option having a glossy finish and the other having a matte finish. The phone is IP64 certified, which protects against dust & water splashes (from any angle). Since it is not IP67 or IP68, the phone won’t survive if submerged in water. For comparison, the Find X5 did not have any IP rating.

Oppo Find X6

On the front, the Oppo Find X6 has a curved display with a hole punch cutout in the center. It is a 6.74-inch 120Hz AMOLED display with a 2772 × 1240 pixels resolution, 10-bit color depth, HDR10+ support, and 1450 nits peak brightness. The fingerprint sensor is present under the display. Compared to the Find X5, the display size has increased this year, along with the brightness & resolution.

Under the hood, the phone has the MediaTek Dimensity 9200 SOC, paired with LPDDR5X RAM & UFS 4.0 storage. The phone has a 24% larger vapor chamber for better thermals than the Find X5. The battery size is 4,800mAh & there is 80W wired charging support. So, while the battery size & charging speed is the same as last year, there is no wireless charging support this year, something the Find X5 had.

Finally, let’s talk about the cameras. The Oppo Find X6 has three cameras on the rear. The primary camera has a 50MP Sony IMX890 sensor with OIS, the ultrawide/macro camera has a 50MP Samsung JN1 sensor & the periscope camera has a 50MP Sony IMX890 sensor with OIS. The periscope lens offers 3X optical zoom & up to 120x digital zoom. The selfie camera has a 32MP sensor. Surprisingly, no 8K video recording support exists, so the Find X5 can shoot up to 4K 60fps videos. The front camera is limited to 1080p 30fps video recording.

The Hasselblad features include Natural Color Optimization, special portrait effects, Hasselblad Pro mode, and more.

The phone runs on ColorOS 13.1.

OPPO FIND X6 PRO

OPPO FIND X6 PRO

The Find X6 Pro is the premium flagship phone from the company & the successor to the Find X5 Pro. Design-wise, it looks identical to the vanilla model, but the color options are slightly different. The brown option has a two-tone design on the back that includes glass on top & vegan leather on the bottom. The other two colors feature a matte glass back.

The phone has IP68 certification, so that’s another upgrade over the vanilla model.

OPPO FIND X6 PRO

The cameras are perhaps the main highlights of this phone. There is a triple camera setup on the rear & like the vanilla model, there are three 50MP cameras. But on the Find X6 Pro, the sensors are upgraded. The primary 50MP camera has a 1-inch Sony IMX989 sensor & this is the same sensor that we saw on the Xiaomi 13 Pro & Vivo X90 Pro. The ultrawide camera has a 50MP Sony IMX890 sensor & the same sensor is there for the periscope lens. Both the main & periscope cameras have OIS support. This phone can shoot Dolby Vision 4K HDR videos as well.

The selfie camera is the same as the Find X6.

On the front, Oppo Find X6 Pro has a 6.82-inch AMOLED display with 1-120Hz adaptive refresh rate, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, 10-bit color depth & Quad-HD+ resolution. The pixel density of this panel is 510PPI. Oppo claims this to be the brightness display on any smartphone, thanks to the 2500 nits peak brightness. The panel has a DisplayMate A+ rating & supports Dolby Vision.

Under the hood, there is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SOC, paired with LPDDR5X RAM & UFS 4.0 storage. The battery is 5,000mAh & the phone supports 100W fast wired charging and 50W fast wireless charging.

The Oppo Find X6 starts at ¥4499 (~$654), whereas the Find X6 Pro at ¥5999 (~$873).
