Oppo Find X5 Pro live images reveal Hasselblad partnership

This phone uses the Oppo's in-house imaging NPU, MariSilicon X

We have already seen the unofficial renders of Oppo Find X5 Pro, which showed that there is not a massive design overhaul this time compared to the Find X3 series of 2021. All that’s changed is the camera module design on the back. Now, we have got live images of the Find X5 Pro via Weibo, and these live images of the phone reveal some very interesting things. As the title of this article suggests, one of those things is the partnership with Hasselblad.

We know that OnePlus has a partnership with Hasselblad, and that’s why the OnePlus 9 series of last year and the OnePlus 10 Pro of this year features Hasselblad branding on the back. But, an Oppo phone having the Hasselblad branding is something new. This should not come as a huge surprise, though, after the merger of these two brands as now, OnePlus is simply a sub-brand of the company (It was always a sub-brand, but now the company has officially announced it).

We can see that the Find X5 Pro has the model number ‘CPH2305’, and it runs on ColorOS 12.1 out of the box, just like the OnePlus 10 Pro. There is 12GB RAM + 256GB ROM and an option to take 3GB from the internal storage if required.

Another thing to note here is that the Oppo Find X5 Pro has the MariSilicon X NPU. This is Oppo’s in-house imaging NPU built on the 6nm process, and it offers features such as real-time RAW processing, a powerful ISP, RGBW Pro Mode, 4K AI HDR Night Video, etc. Oppo had announced in December last year during the launch of this imaging NPU that it will debut with the Find X series phones in Q1 2022.

In terms of the specs, leaks suggest two Sony IMX766 sensors on the back. So, there is a primary 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor and another 50MP Sony IMX766 used for ultrawide photos. Then, there is also a telephoto lens with a 13MP Samsung S5K3M5 sensor. For selfies, the Find X5 Pro offers a 32MP Sony IMX709 sensor. There is a Quad-HD+ 120Hz OLED with LTPO 2.0, Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SOC., a 5,000mAh battery, 80W fast charging & 50W wireless charging.
