The Oppo Find X5 series is now official globally, and there are three new phones under this series named the Find X5 Lite, Find X5, and the Find X5 Pro, in the same order of their pricing. The Oppo Find X5 Pro is a mid-range device and in this article, let us talk about that phone in detail. In short, this is just the Reno 7 SE 5G but with a different name and some minor changes in the specs here and there.
Design-wise, the Find X5 Lite comes with a textured back panel, and Oppo says this is the world’s first smartphone with an LDI (Laser Direct Imaging)-processed design. There is a rectangular camera module with a triple camera setup in it. The phone is quite slim at 7.81mm and not very heavy at 173g. The 3.5mm headphone jack is present on this phone. On the front, there is a flat panel with a hole punch in the corner. The phone also has a prominent bottom chin.
There is a 6.43-inch AMOLED with a 90Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Under the hood, Oppo Find X5 Lite has MediaTek Dimensity 900 5G SOC that is paired with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB UFS 2.2 storage.
In terms of cameras, there is a triple camera setup on the back where the primary camera has a 64MP sensor with an f/1.7 aperture lens. There is an 8MP sensor for ultrawide shots and a 2MP sensor for macro shots. For selfies, you get a 32MP camera. The primary camera on the rear can shoot 4K videos at 30fps, whereas the front camera is limited to 1080p 30fps video recording.
The battery size is 4,500mAh, and the phone supports 65W SuperVOOC charging. Oppo claims the 65W adapter can charge the battery fully in just 31 minutes. Finally, Android 11 runs out of the box with ColorOS 12 on top. It is a shame that brands are still launching their phones with Android 11 running out of the box, an operating system released in 2020.
There are two color options named Starlight Black and Startrails Blue. The price is €499 / £419, and sales start from 21st of March, i.e., almost a month from today.
