After companies like Samsung, Huawei, Motorola & Xiaomi, it is time for Oppo to launch its foldable phone. It is quite surprising that a company that is known as one of the most innovative ones out there in the smartphone world has not yet launched a foldable phone. But as they say – Good things take time. Anyways, Oppo made an official announcement that it is launching a foldable phone named the Oppo Find N. This is the company’s first foldable phone, and it will launch on the 15th of December.
Oppo says that the first prototype of this phone was developed back in April of 2018. That’s almost four years ago. But now, the company is ready to launch the final product.
The official announcement showcases the side of the phone where we can see the text “Design for Find” & also the camera bump, which seems to have a triple camera setup in it.
The company has posted a video on YouTube and also on its social media handles where we can see the design in even more detail.
So, just as in the case of the Z Fold 3 by Samsung or Mate X2 by Huawei, the Oppo Find N has a foldable display on the inside & a secondary display on the outside. The display on the inside does not have a seflie camera under the display as on the Z Fold 3. Instead, there is a normal hole-punch cutout on the top left corner. The USB Type-C port is there on the bottom, along with the two speaker grills and the SIM slot.
Oppo says that it was able to solve issues like the crease in the display or durability with the Find N by going for perhaps the best hinge & display designs currently in the market. Well, we will have to wait for the actual product to come out so that we can see if those claims are valid or not. Anyways, we do not have any information on the specifications yet, so stay tuned.
