OnePlus Nord CE 4 price in India leaks ahead of the launch

Pretty good value for money!

The OnePlus Nord CE 4 is launching in India on April 1, and while there are still a few days left for the launch, the pricing for the Indian market has leaked online. The pricing details were shared by Abhishek Yadav on Twitter. It is worth mentioning that the predecessor, the OnePlus Nord CE 3, was launched in India at ₹26,999.

As per the source, the OnePlus Nord CE 4 will launch in two variants – 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB. While the base variant’s configuration is the same as last year, there is no 12GB RAM option this time, something the OnePlus Nord CE 3 had. Speaking of the pricing, the 8GB + 128GB variant is launching at ₹24,999, and the 8GB + 256GB variant at ₹26,999. It is quite interesting that the successor is ₹2,000 cheaper than the predecessor, most likely due to the competition in this price segment.

For the price, the OnePlus Nord CE 4 offers some impressive specifications. The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset and is built on the TSMC’s 4nm process. There is an octa-core CPU clocked at up to 2.6GHz. Compared to the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SOC, the 7 Gen 3 offers a 15% better CPU & up to a 50% better GPU. The chipset is up to 20% more power efficient as well.

The Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 offers up to 60% faster AI performance than the 7 Gen 1.

Speaking of benchmark scores, the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 in the Vivo V30 scores around 800,000 points on the AnTuTu benchmark, so we expect similar scores on the OnePlus Nord CE 4. Compared to the Dimensity 7200 Pro in the Nothing Phone 2a, which is also priced under ₹25,000 in India, the Nord CE 4 should offer a better performance. Another advantage that the Nord CE 4 has is the storage speed. The phone uses faster UFS 3.1 storage versus UFS 2.2 in the Phone 2a.

As for the battery size, the OnePlus Nord CE 4 has a massive 5,500mAh battery and supports 100W fast charging. These are again better specifications than the Phone 2a.

The display is a 6.7-inch 120Hz Full-HD+ AMOLED with an under-display fingerprint sensor.

Finally, coming to the cameras, the OnePlus Nord CE 4 has two rear cameras – a 1/2″ 50MP Sony LYT-600 sensor for the primary camera with OIS and an 8MP Sony IMX355 sensor for the ultrawide camera. This is one area where the Nothing Phone 2a has an edge over the Nord CE 4, at least on paper. The Phone 2a has better sensors for both the primary and the ultrawide cameras – a 1/1.56″ 50MP Samsung GN9 (OIS) and a 50MP Samsung JN1.

There is a 16MP selfie camera.

The phone runs on Android 14-based OxygenOS 14.0.
