OnePlus Nord CE 3 was launched in India last July last year with a Snapdragon 782G chipset. The brand has now announced the launch date of the Nord CE 4 in India. The phone is launching in the market on April 1. Along with the name and the launch date, we also got our first look at the design of the OnePlus Nord CE 4.
The OnePlus Nord CE 4 has a different design than previous OnePlus phones. The phone has a vertical dual camera setup on the top left corner and a ring LED flash, which resembles the camera module design of Meizu 21. The phone will launch in two colors – Green & Black. There are stereo speakers and an IR blaster.
OnePlus has also revealed the chipset powering this device. While the Nord CE 3 had the Snapdragon 782G SOC, the Nord CE 4 is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3. This is quite a significant upgrade because OnePlus could’ve gone for the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 or the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1, which are more powerful than the 782G. Instead, the company went for the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, which sits just below the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 in terms of performance.
The Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 is built on the TSMC’s 4nm process.
As per Digital Chat Station, the Nord CE 4 is launching in China as the Oppo K12, and the phone has a glass back, even though the frame is plastic.
The OnePlus Nord CE 3 was launched in India at ₹26,999, and the Nord CE 4 is expected to be priced the same. The phone will compete with Realme 12 Pro, Redmi Note 13 Pro, Nothing Phone 2a, Poco X6 Pro, and more at this price.
