As per the report from 91Mobiles, the Nord 2 is coming with the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SOC, making it the first phone from OnePlus with a MediaTek chipset. The Dimensity 1200 is a flagship SOC from MediaTek that is built on the 6nm manufacturing process and includes an octa-core CPU with powerful Cortex-A78 cores. There is one Cortex-A78 Ultra core that is clocked at 3.0GHz, three Cortex-A78 cores clocked at 2.6GHz, and four Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 2.0GHz.
Storage options include 8GB + 128GB & 12GB + 256GB variants. On the front, OnePlus Nord 2 rocks a 6.43-inch 90Hz AMOLED, and on the back, there is a triple camera setup. This triple camera setup includes a primary 50 Megapixel sensor paired with an 8 Megapixel ultrawide and a 2 Megapixel sensor. On the front, there is a single 32 Megapixel camera. Just as in the case of the Nord CE 5G, there is a bigger 4,500mAh battery compared to the last year’s model.
If the previous information is to be believed, the primary 50 Megapixel shooter has the Sony IMX766 sensor, the same camera sensor that is there on the OnePlus 9 & 9 Pro.
The price at which OnePlus is going to launch this device is still a mystery, but looking at the name, we won’t be surprised to see the price higher than that of the last year’s Nord.
