OnePlus Ace 3V (OnePlus Nord 4) images surface online

The chipset was also officially confirmed!

Recently, we got the first look at the design of the OnePlus Nord 4, aka the OnePlus Ace 3V, from the front. We got to know that the front design is pretty much identical to the OnePlus Nord 3 / Ace 2V, and the only change is in the placement of the buttons. The alert slider is moved to the left side, and the volume rockers now sit alongside the power button.

Now, some more images of the phone have surfaced online, revealing the rear design of the phone.

The OnePlus Ace 3V / Nord 4 has a different camera module design than the Ace 2V / Nord 3. The cameras are still placed vertically in the top left corner, but they now sit inside a camera island. One of the noticeable design upgrades includes a ring LED flash on the rear. The phone reportedly has a glass back and a plastic frame.

This is the same design that the brand has used for the upcoming OnePlus Nord CE 4.

OnePlus has officially announced that the phone is powered by the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3, making it the first smartphone with this chipset. This is an upgrade over the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2, which was a very powerful chip featuring a similar CPU configuration as the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. The Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 features a similar CPU configuration as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.

The chip has an octa-core CPU, which includes one prime Cortex-X4 core clocked at 2.8GHz, four Cortex-A720 cores clocked at 2.61GHz, and three Cortex-A520 cores clocked at 1.9GHz. For comparison, last year’s flagship chip, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, features one Cortex-X3 core, two Cortex-A715 cores, two Cortex-A710 cores, and three Cortex-A510 cores. So, the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 uses upgraded ARM cores than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, even though the 8 Gen 2 has higher clock speeds.

Speaking of benchmarks, the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 sits just below the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 in terms of CPU performance. On Geekbench, the chip scores over 1800 points in single-core, and over 5,000 points in multi-core, higher than the MediaTek Dimensity 8300.

The performance is not the only highlight of this phone. OnePlus Ace 3V / OnePlus Nord 4 has a big 5,500mAh battery and 100W fast wired charging. As per the President of OnePlus China, the phone’s battery performs better than even the OnePlus 12 (which has a 5,400mAh battery). A screenshot shared by the president shows the battery stats of the phone, where we can see the screen on time of 9 hours 52 minutes, with 18% battery still left. These are some crazy numbers. But, of course, everyone’s usage differs, so we cannot judge the battery performance of the phone from this one screenshot.

Finally, speaking of the rumored specifications, the phone has a 1.5K 120Hz flat OLED display, a 50MP primary rear camera with OIS, a 32MP selfie camera, an under-display fingerprint sensor, and Android 14-based OxygenOS/ColorOS.
