The OnePlus 9RT is launching this month, and we all know that by now. In fact, we also know what upgrades this phone brings over the OnePlus 9R. Well, now, we got to see the design of this phone via the official renders that were shared by Evan Blass & TechDroider on Twitter. Along with these renders, we also learned that OnePlus has planned to launch this phone on the 13th of this month, which means we now have less than a week left for the launch. Interestingly, OnePlus is yet to announce anything officially regarding the launch event!
Design-wise, the OnePlus 9RT is not very different than the OnePlus 9R. The only design change is on the back, where there is now a triple camera setup instead of a Quad camera setup. There are still two flash modules in the camera module. Apart from this, everything else is the same. There is the same button placement, the same ports selection, and the same flat panel on the front with a hole punch in the corner.
One thing to note here is that while the bottom side is curved, the top of this phone is flat from the center.
As we know already, one of the biggest upgrades that the OnePlus 9RT brings over the OnePlus 9R is the new camera sensor. There is now a 50 Megapixel Sony IMX766 camera sensor in the primary camera, and this is the same camera sensor that is there on the OnePlus Nord 2 & the OnePlus 9/9 Pro. It is worth mentioning that just like the OnePlus Nord 2, this 50MP sensor is used for the main camera and not for the ultrawide as on the OnePlus 9/9 Pro.
Apart from this, the phone has a higher-binned version of Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SOC which should offer slightly better performance than the Snapdragon 870 of OnePlus 9R.
The battery size is 4,500mAh, there is a 120Hz AMOLED panel & 65W fast charging. Finally, the color that you see in the above renders is named “Hacker Silver.”
