The last time we talked about the OnePlus 9RT, we got to know that the phone is coming with a 50 Megapixel Sony IMX766 camera sensor, and the launch will take place in October. At that time, there was no information on the exact launch date, but today, well-known tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer aka OnLeaks, shared on Twiter that the phone is set to go official on the 15th of October, which means exactly one month from the time this article was published!
As the name suggests, this phone is a small upgrade over the OnePlus 9R, and most of the things are the same. The chipset is the same, i.e., Snapdragon 870, but the 9RT has a higher binned version which, in simple terms, means that it would perform marginally better than the Snapdragon 870 of OnePlus 9R. The OnePlus 9RT also gets a 50 Megapixel Sony IMX766 camera sensor on the rear, something we have seen on the OnePlus Nord 2. Also, this 50MP sensor will be used for the primary camera, not for the ultrawide camera (as on the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro).
There is the same 120Hz AMOLED and a 4,500mAh battery with 65W fast charging. Finally, Android 12 runs out of the box, with OxygenOS 12 running on top.
The price is not yet known but expect the price to stay between the price of the OnePlus 9R & 9.
