Alright, now it is official! The OnePlus 9 Series will launch on the 23rd of March, so there are now a couple of weeks left for the official unveiling. OnePlus not only shared the launch date but also officially announced its partnership with Hasselblad, a well-known brand that makes photographic equipment such as medium format cameras. And to everyone’s surprise, OnePlus posted a video that shows the rear camera module of the OnePlus 9 Pro, confirming most of the previous leaks.
The CEO of OnePlus, Pete Lau, also announced that OnePlus will be offering a charger in the box, so at least for now, it won’t be following Apple and Samsung by removing chargers from the box.
All the teasers reveal that the cameras are going to be the main USP of the OnePlus 9 series, and as the previous leaks have revealed, the OnePlus 9 Pro packs a 50 Megapixel primary camera paired with a 48 Megapixel ultrawide unit, an 8 Megapixel shooter, and a 2 Megapixel sensor. There is support for 8K 30fps and 4K 120fps video recording.
The vanilla OnePlus 9 has a triple camera setup that includes a primary 50 Megapixel primary, a 48 Megapixel ultrawide, and a 2 Megapixel sensor, most probably to take macro photos. While the OnePlus 9 has a 6.55-inch 120Hz AMOLED, the OnePlus 9 Pro has a 6.7-inch 120Hz LTPO panel with Quad-HD+ resolution. Both the phones have a 4,500mAh battery underneath.
