OnePlus 9 Pro CAD renders reveal the design of the phone

Yesterday, we got some camera details of the next year’s OnePlus 9 along with the confirmation on the final design of the phone. Well, today, Steve Hemmerstoffer aka OnLeaks shared the CAD renders of the OnePlus 9 Pro, which is going to be company’s premium flagship in the first quarter next year. Steve did mention that the phone is still in the prototyping stage, so there might be some changes in the final design, such as the placement of the rear cameras.

The design shown in the CAD renders suggest that from the front, there isn’t any change at all when compared to the design of OnePlus 8 Pro. There is the same curved display on the front that has a single hole-punch cutout on the top left corner. The only design upgrade is on the rear where there is now a rectangular camera module that houses up to four camera lenses. The alert slider & the power button are placed on the right side while the volume rockers are there on the left.

The USB Type-C port is present on the bottom alongside the speaker grill & the SIM card tray. The two main cameras on the rear protrude from the rectangular camera housing. There is no periscope-style telephoto camera, so that’s definitely a disappointment. But again, since this is a design in the prototyping stage, OnePlus might make some changes.

Finally, the display on the OnePlus 9 Pro is a 6.7-inch panel & the back is made up of glass. The CAD renders suggest that OnePlus went for a frosted glass back similar to what we saw on the OnePlus 8 Pro.

There is no information on the specifications, yet so we cannot say anything at the moment. Stay Tuned!
