At the beginning of this month, we got to know a couple of specs of the upcoming OnePlus 8T that include the Snapdragon 865+ SOC & a 120Hz AMOLED panel. Until today, we only knew the front design of the phone since that has been revealed by the Android 11 Developer Preview for the OnePlus 8 Series.
Well, today, we got the CAD-based renders of the 8T that were shared by OnLeaks in collaboration with PriceBaba. These renders reveal the full design of the phone & along with that, we also got to know more specifications of the device.
As we know already, the OnePlus 8T is coming with a flat display instead of a curved panel like on the OnePlus 8 Series. The display has the punch-hole camera cutout on the top left, just like the OnePlus 8 Series. The USB Type-C Port is there on the bottom alongside the speaker grill & to no surprise, there is no 3.5mm headphone jack.
The alert slider is on the right side along with the power button, whereas the volume rockers are on the left.
The biggest design change is on the rear since there is now a different camera setup design. There is a rectangular camera module on the top left that houses the Quad camera setup & the LED flash. This is a design that we have seen on almost every other phone launched this year, whether it is a budget device or a flagship.
Talking about the specs, the 8T comes with a 6.55-inch AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate & Full-HD+ resolution. Under the hood, there is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ chip paired with 8GB or 12GB RAM & 128GB or 256GB storage.
The Quad camera setup includes a primary 48 Megapixel sensor, which, as we know, is a different sensor than the one found on OnePlus 8. There is a secondary 16 Megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, a third 5 Megapixel Macro camera, and a fourth 2 Megapixel depth sensor. So unlike the OnePlus 8 Pro that also has a Quad camera setup, the OnePlus 8T doesn’t have a telephoto lens.
There is a 32 Megapixel camera on the front & finally, there is a 4,500mAH battery with 65W Fast Charging. This is a massive upgrade over the 30W Warp Charging that OnePlus 8 Series supports. Finally, Android 11 based OxygenOS 11 will be running out of the box.
There is no information regarding the price of OnePlus 8T, but since it will be more expensive than the OnePlus 8, we are expecting the starting price to be around Rs 44,999 since the OnePlus 8 starts at Rs 41,999 in India.
