Like every year, we are expecting the OnePlus 8T Series to launch in September-October this year. The OnePlus 8 series was made official in April, so it’s just been two months since the launch happened. A report by XDA-Developers has now revealed that the Engineering Mode app from OnePlus (that comes pre-installed in every OnePlus device) revealed a new color option of OnePlus 8 ( or 8 Pro) as well as the Super WARP Charging.
The source code of the Engineering app has some strings for each Color Option of the OnePlus 8 & OnePlus 8 Pro – Onyx Black, Glacial Green, Interstellar Glow, and Ultramarine Blue. But, there is also a fifth color named “Ice Blue” & we haven’t yet the OnePlus 8 or the OnePlus 8 Pro in this color option. So the chances are that the company would launch the OnePlus 8 or 8 Pro in this color option soon.
A couple of other strings reveal the 65W Super WARP Charging, which suggests that the next OnePlus flagships might come with this charging technology. Currently, the OnePlus 8 Series supports the 30W WARP Charge 30T, so it would be a huge upgrade if the OnePlus 8T Series gets the Super WARP Charge support.
Now, this isn’t the first time we are hearing about 65W Charging. In fact, it is just the Oppo’s SuperVOOC 2.0 but with a different name. Realme did the same by renaming it as SuperDart Charging. All the Oppo & Realme devices featuring 65W Charging come with a dual-cell battery, so the same is going to be the case with the OnePlus 8T Series devices if they feature the same charging speed.
