A couple of weeks ago, we got to see the design of OnePlus 9 Pro via the CAD-based renders that were shared by OnLeaks. Those renders showed a Quad camera setup on the rear that includes two big camera lenses coupled with two small ones. Well today, the schematics of the phone were shared by Digital Chat Station that confirm the design shown by those renders. So with this, we don’t think there might be any major design change made by OnePlus before the launch.
The schematics show that the OnePlus 9 Pro has a rectangular camera module on the rear that has four cameras in it. There are two big camera lenses taking up the majority of space. These two lenses are paired with two small ones & one of these two could be for taking Macro shots. The OnePlus 8 Pro of last year had a Quad camera setup as well, but that phone had a main, an ultrawide & a telephoto camera. The OnePlus 9 Pro seems to be missing either an ultrawide or a telephoto lens on the rear which, if true, is weird.
Speaking of the front design, there is a curved display that has a single hole-punch cutout on the top left corner where the selfie camera is placed. It shouldn’t be a surprise that the OnePlus 9 Pro has a Quad-HD+ display on the front just like the OnePlus 8 Pro. The button placement, as well as the ports, remain the same as on the OnePlus 8 Pro of last year.
As we know, OnePlus has already announced that it would launch a Snapdragon 888-powered phone in the first quarter of 2021 so the rumours of March launch for the OnePlus 9 Series are most likely true. Also, we know that there are three phones under this series, namely OnePlus 9, 9 Pro & 9E.
