Alleged OnePlus 8 Pro live image confirms 120Hz display

Last year in October, we got the CAD renders of the OnePlus 8 Pro that revealed a similar design from the rear as compared to the OnePlus 7 Pro but slightly different design from the front due to a hole-punch for the selfie camera. Then, a source claimed that the phone would feature a 120Hz display.

Recently, OnePlus showed off the 120Hz display tech which confirmed the fact that the next OnePlus flagship is coming with a 120Hz display.

Today, the live image of OnePlus 8 Pro was shared by TrueTech, which confirms the same.

The live image gives us a look at the front of the device & as we can see, there is a single selfie camera placed in a hole-punch on the top left. The display is curved on the sides, just like last year’s OnePlus 7 Pro & 7T Pro. Since there is a 120Hz display, the users will have the option to choose from either 120Hz, 90Hz or 60Hz.

Obviously, a 120Hz display is going to consume a big chunk of the battery, so we are expecting a big battery underneath the OnePlus 8 Pro this time.

It is worth mentioning that it is still unclear if the OnePlus 8 Pro would offer 120Hz refresh rate at Quad-HD+ resolution. The Galaxy S20 series has 120Hz display as well but the resolution is lowered to FHD+ when 120Hz refresh rate is selected.
