Last month, we got an interesting leak that revealed the design of the OnePlus 8 Pro. It was interesting in the sense that this phone is launching next year & 2019 hasn’t ended yet. The CAD renders of the phone were shared by OnLeaks last month & they revealed a design similar to this year’s OnePlus 7 Pro except for some changes like a hole-punch display instead of a Full-Screen design & a Quad camera setup on the rear instead of triple cameras.
Today, however, we got to know something even more interesting. While OnePlus 7 Pro was the first OnePlus phone to launch with a 90Hz display, the OnePlus 8 Pro is going to be the company’s first phone with a 120Hz display. Now, 120Hz display on a phone isn’t new since the Razer Phone 2 was the first phone with a 120Hz screen, but it was an LCD panel. This year, we got the Asus ROG Phone 2 with a 120Hz OLED screen, the first on any phone.
So, the trend of high refresh rate displays is going to continue next year & we are sure more smartphone makers are going to launch phones with the high-refresh-rate screens.
The 8 Pro is coming with the same curved Quad-HD+ display as the OnePlus 7 Pro. On the rear, there is a 3D TOF sensor, the first on any OnePlus device. There are also reports that the phone would have Wireless Charging support.
