The OnePlus 13 is expected to launch by the end of 2024, and we already know the camera details of the device. The phone is launching with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset, Qualcomm’s upcoming flagship SOC for Android phones. Now, the phone has been spotted on Geekbench, revealing the benchmark scores of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4.
On Geekbench, the OnePlus 13 scores around 3200 on single-core, and over 10,000 on multi-core. For comparison, the OnePlus 12 with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset scores around 2200 on single-core and around 7,000 on multi-core. So, we can see a massive performance improvement in the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 versus the predecessor.
These Geekbench scores are higher than even the scores of the recently launched iPhone 16 series. The Apple A18 chip scores around 3000 on single-core and 6600 on multi-core. The Apple A18 Pro scores the same on single-core but the multi-core score is around 7700. Still, the scores are lower than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4’s.
What’s interesting is that this is not the final score of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, so this chipset is capable of scoring higher. It was already speculated that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 would surpass the Apple A18 Pro in all aspects, and now these benchmark scores tell the same story.
As per reports, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 features a new “Oryon” CPU architecture. The octa-core CPU has two prime Oryon cores clocked at up to 4GHz and six Oryon cores clocked at 3GHz. The power efficiency should be massively improved as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 is reportedly built on the TSMC’s 3nm process, versus 4nm.
