OnePlus 12 specs leaked, features a 5400mAh battery

There is slight change in the spec sheet, compared to what we got to know previously

We got our first look at the OnePlus 12 a week ago, thanks to the leaked renders. The renders confirmed the periscope camera on the upcoming OnePlus flagship. In May this year, we learned a few specifications of the phone, which will have the same battery, display size, and charging speed as the OnePlus 11. But now, we have the OnePlus 12 specifications from a different source, the same one that shared the renders. And these specifications are a bit different from what was leaked earlier.

OnePlus 12

As per this new leak, OnePlus 12 has a 5,400mAh battery, the largest ever in a OnePlus flagship. For comparison, the OnePlus 11 has a 5,000mAh battery. The wired charging speed is the same at 100W, but the phone supports wireless charging, something the OnePlus 11 does not have. The wireless charging speed is up to 50W, the same as the OnePlus 10 Pro.

The display is a 6.7-inch LTPO AMOLED with up to 120Hz refresh rate and a Quad-HD+ resolution. While it sounds like the same panel as on the OnePlus 11, we expect the successor to feature an E6 AMOLED panel instead of the E4 AMOLED panel.

The SOC is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage.

OnePlus 12

As for the cameras, OnePlus 12 has three on the back. The primary rear camera has a 50MP Sony IMX890 sensor with OIS, the same as OnePlus 11. The ultrawide camera gets a 50MP sensor, too, but the sensor details are unknown at this point. Finally, a periscope camera with a 64MP sensor offers up to 3X optical zoom, which is relatively low for a periscope camera. For comparison, last year, the OnePlus 10 Pro had a normal telephoto camera and offered 3.3x optical zoom.

It is pretty likely that OnePlus 12 is using the same periscope camera that the Oppo Reno 10 Pro+ has because the Reno 10 Pro+ has a 64MP periscope camera with 3X optical zoom.

For selfies, the OnePlus 12 has a 32MP sensor. Finally, the phone will launch with OxygenOS 14, based on Android 14.
