Last year, a new smartphone segment emerged out of nowhere, and we saw some incredibly powerful phones launching in this segment. We are talking about the segment of gaming smartphones, i.e., phones that are all about performance and hardcore gaming. In 2018, we had Razer Phone 2, Blackshark, Blackshark Helo, Asus ROG Phone, Nubia Red Magic, Nubia Red Magic Mars, etc. This year, we will see even more phones and today, we got to know that the Nubia Red Magic Mars is coming to the US at a really solid price.
Don’t confuse it with the Nubia Red Magic smartphone as the ‘Mars’ is the successor to that and comes with the Snapdragon 845 chipset and up to 10GB RAM. In the US, the Nubia Red Magic Mars will be available in 6GB + 64GB configuration and at a price of just $399.
FYI, the price for this variant in China is 2,699 Yuan or $390. So, it looks like Nubia has kept the profit margin pretty low to launch it in the US at almost the same price. This is similar to what Poco did when it launched the Poco F1 at a stupendously low price.
As for the specs, the phone has a 6-inch Full-HD+ 18:9 display, Snapdragon 845 Processor clocked at 2.8GHz, 6GB LPDDR4 RAM and 64GB UFS 2.1 storage, 16MP f/1.8 single rear camera, 8MP f/2.0 wide-angle front camera, 3,800mAh battery with Fast Charging via USB Type-C Port and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Android 9 Pie runs out of the box.
Everything related to gaming deserves the RGB treatment, right? Well, the Nubia Red Magic Mars has LED strip on the back, the colors of which can be customized from the software. Some other features include DTS 7.1 channel and 3D surround sound, Liquid and Air cooling, two touch-sensitive shoulder buttons that are customizable and more.
So, if you were looking for a solid device with great performance for gaming, then this might be the phone for you. What are your thoughts on the pricing of Nubia Red Magic Mars for the US? Do let us know via the comments section.
