In April, Nubia Red Magic 3 launched with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SOC, 90Hz OLED panel, 5,000mAh battery & more. Now, since Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus is already out, many brands are upgrading their flagships & gaming phones with this SOC e.g. ROG Phone 2, Black Shark 2 Pro etc. Now, Nubia is all set to launch the upgraded version of Red Magic 3 named the Nubia Red Magic 3S on September 5 in China.

The biggest upgrade is in terms of the SOC as the phone is coming with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ SOC. Now, we don’t know how the phone looks like or what the rest of specifications are, but the design will most likely remain the same as Red Magic 3 since only the internals are getting an upgrade.
We can expect a 120Hz AMOLED display like the one on ROG Phone 2 since the Nubia Red Magic already has a 90Hz OLED panel. Moreover, the Nubia Red Magic 3S might come with improved cooling so it would be interesting to see what the company is going to do since the Red Magic 3 already has a built-in cooling fan.

It is going to compete with the likes of Asus ROG Phone 2 & Xiaomi’s Black Shark 2 Pro. We are also expecting the global launch to happen soon after the launch in China since the Red Magic 3 also made it to the markets outside China.
