Nothing has already announced that it is launching two new smartphones on March 4, the Nothing Phone 3a & Phona 3a Pro. As the names suggest, the Phone 3a is the successor to last year’s Phone 2a, whereas the Phone 3a Pro marks the beginning of a new “Pro” series of phones under the “a” series. While the launch is still more than a week away, some promo videos of the two phones were shared by a user on Twitter and they seem like the official promo videos.

Starting with the Nothing Phone 3a, the promo video reveals that the phone has a triple camera setup on the rear and just like its predecessor, the cameras are placed horizontally. The primary camera has a 50MP sensor with OIS support, the ultrawide camera has an 8MP Sony sensor, and there is a third telephoto camera with a 50MP sensor + 3x optical zoom. For comparison, the Nothing Phone 2a/2a Plus featured a 50MP + 50MP dual camera setup last year. There is a 32MP sensor for selfies. The phone has Nothing’s “Truelens Engine 3.0” which includes some advanced computational photography algorithms.
The promo video also shows some AI features.
There is a Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset under the hood and a large 6.77-inch 120Hz AMOLED display with a 3000 nits peak brightness and a 1000Hz touch sampling rate. The phone is launching in at least three colors – Black, White, and Blue.

Speaking of the Nothing Phone 3a Pro, it has a pretty unique camera arrangement on the rear, primarily due to the periscope camera, the first on a Nothing smartphone. The phone has the same rear camera setup as the non-Pro model, except that it has a periscope lens for the third camera with OIS support. The selfie camera has a 50MP sensor. The optical zoom is still 3x on the Pro model.
The chipset is the same, as is the display on the front. Both phones run on Android 15-based NothingOS 3.0.
So, the cameras are the only thing that separates the two smartphones, more precisely the zoom and the selfie cameras. Both phones are reportedly launching with a 5,000mAh battery.
As for the pricing, the Nothing Phone 3a is expected to start at around or under ₹25,000 in the Indian market and the Phone 3a Pro at around ₹30,000.
