Alleged Nothing Phone 3 (or 3a?) spotted on Geekbench

Powered by Snapdragon 7s Gen 3!

This year, Nothing launched a few budget and mid-range smartphones, namely the Nothing Phone 2a, Phone 2a Plus, and CMF Phone 1. Unlike last year, there was no flagship phone from the brand this year. It looks like we have to wait even more for a flagship phone because an upcoming smartphone by Nothing was spotted on Geekbench today with a mid-range chipset.

The phone bears the model number “A509,” and as per Geekbench, the chipset is codenamed “volcano”. This is most likely the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 that was announced in August. Moreover, the clock speeds mentioned on Geekbench match that of the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3’s CPU. There is one prime core clocked at up to 2.5GHz, three performance-centric cores clocked at up to 2.4GHz, and four efficiency cores clocked at up to 1.8GHz. The phone has 8GB of RAM.

There are rumors that this phone could be the Nothing Phone 3, which is highly unlikely considering the Phone 2 was a flagship with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SOC. So, it is possible that this is the Nothing Phone 3a.

On single-core, this upcoming phone has scored around 1150 points, while on multi-core, the score is around 2800 points. These are more or less similar to what the Phone 2a/Phone 2a Plus scores.

Well, there is no information on the final name of this device so we will have to wait.
