Nokia 9 CAD renders confirm a Penta Lens setup on the rear

Nokia has done great work this year by launching phones in almost every price segment. Unlike last year where we had mostly overpriced phones from the company, we have seen some really good value for money devices this year. We are yet to see a high-end phone from the company this year that will compete with the likes of Pixels and Galaxies. The Nokia 9 with its Penta Lens setup on the back is in the rumors from quite some time, and now, the CAD renders of the phone confirmed that the phone would indeed feature the same.

These CAD renders were shared by none other than Steve Hemmerstoffer aka OnLeaks who is well-known for this kind of stuff. We don’t remember any case where he shared the CAD renders of an upcoming device, and they turned out to be false. So, these CAD renders of Nokia 9 surely show what we are going to be in the coming months from Nokia.

As shown above, the Nokia 9 doesn’t feature a notch like the Nokia 6.1 Plus, Nokia 5.1 Plus, Nokia 7.1 and the Nokia 7.1 Plus. Instead, the phone has a normal 18:9 display with an empty chin on the bottom. The Nokia branding is also moved to the top on the front, so the chin on the bottom seems a poor use of space. The volume rockers and the power button are present on the right, and the phone only has USB Type-C port (no headphone jack).

The main highlight of the Nokia 9 is going to be its Penta Lens setup on the rear. We have seen dual cameras, triple cameras, and even Quad Cameras on the rear so far but Nokia will go a step further by launching a phone with five cameras on the back. Don’t mistake that extra circle on the rear as a camera. It is for the Laser Autofocus mechanism. So, there are in total seven circles on the back among which five are the camera lenses, one is LED flash, and one is the Laser AF mechanism.

There is ZEISS branding on the rear, but there is no ‘PureView’ branding. We have been getting a lot of rumors of the PureView branded Nokia 9 so that could be any other variant of the phone. Finally, since there is no fingerprint scanner on the rear or the side, the phone has an in-screen fingerprint scanner.

Some rumored specifications include Snapdragon 845 processor, up to 8GB RAM and a big 4,150mAH battery with Fast Charging, IP68 rating, and Wireless Charging.
