Nokia’s first 5G phone could launch on March 19 in London

Two months have already passed & Nokia has been silent when it comes to smartphone launches. Well, the first Nokia smartphone of 2020 is finally launching on March 19th in London as HMD Global has now revealed the launch date. While HMD Global didn’t mention what device is launching, there are chances that we will get Nokia’s first 5G phone.

In August last year, Juho Sarvikas (HMD’s Chief Product Officer) told DigitalTrends that Nokia would launch a “value” flagship 5G smartphone in 2020 that would cost half of what exists today (at the time of the talk with DigitalTrends). At that time, there were 5G phones like the Note 10+ 5G & Lg V50 ThinQ 5G, costing around a thousand bucks. This means this upcoming 5G phone from Nokia could cost around $500-600 when it arrives.

Rumours suggest that we are getting the Nokia 8.2 5G at the event which could launch with Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G SOC.

Let’s wait to see what HMD Global is going to launch at the March 19th Event.
