Every Nokia fan was excited for the launch of new Android phones by Nokia but what more excited us was the news of the Nokia 3310’s relaunch in a new design and UI. Nokia 3310 was relaunched at the MWC but what disappointed all the Nokia fans out there was that the phone supports only 2G which is a big problem for the users living in countries like US and Canada because the phone uses frequencies 900MHZ and 1800MHZ which have already been turned off in these countries. Today, the phone is listed on a Swedish website, and one of the interesting things we noticed is that the Nokia 3310 3G variant is also listed that suggests that there is a Nokia 3310 with 3G support also.
Talking about the pricing, it is kept slightly higher than the 2G version. Now, the PR team of HMD was contacted regarding this issue, and they have cleared that there is no such Nokia 3310 3G variant and the information on the Swedish website is incorrect. It could’ve been a good move by the company to launch the device with 3G support also but who knows what’s going on in Nokia’s mind. Anyways, what are your views? If the Nokia 3310 comes with 3G support somehow, would you mind buying one for yourself? Do let us know via the comments section.
