Nokia 1 is coming with Android Go & a price tag of $100

Nokia has so far launched several devices this year in every price segment. This includes Nokia 2 in the low-end segment, Nokia 3,5 and 6 in the budget segment, Nokia 7 in mid-range and Nokia 8 in the high-end segment. Soon, the company is launching the Nokia 1, which, as per the new details, is going to be powered by recently announced Android Go, which is a slimmed down version of the Android OS, made for the low-end phones. Today, a few specifications of the phone were revealed by a user on Twitter along with the price tag.

Nokia 1 specifications

So, as per the user Eldar Murtazin (@eldarmurtazin), the Nokia 1 is coming with Android Go Operating System (Android Oreo Go) and will feature an IPS HD Display with a resolution of 1280x720p. There will be 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage.

So, looking at the RAM, it makes sense why Nokia 1 will have Android Go since this is the OS made for the low-end phones having 512MB-1GB of RAM. The handset will be priced at 5,990 Rubbles that translates to $103. As far as the launch date is concerned, it will be out in March next year. We can expect to see a MediaTek processor.
