Motorola One Hyper to feature pop-up selfie camera & 64MP rear camera

Just when you thought Motorola is done with the launch of its Motorola One series of phones for this year, we got a report that suggests the launch of Motorola One Hyper is happening soon. What makes this upcoming phone so special is the fact that it is going to be Motorola’s first device with a pop-up selfie camera & also a 64 Megapixel camera on the rear.

The phone leaked a couple of weeks back, but at that time, we didn’t know what the name is going to be. Now, a report by XDA Developers hints that this would be launched as Motorola One Hyper (XT2027-1). As you can see, there is a rear-facing fingerprint scanner that also has a ring around it that glows.

There is a dual-camera setup that includes a primary 64 Megapixel shooter with a Samsung GW1 sensor & an 8 Megapixel secondary camera, which is most likely a wide-angle unit.

There is a pop-up selfie camera on the front & it’s a 32 Megapixel camera with f/2.2 aperture. So, camera wise, the Motorola One Hyper is solid on paper. There is pixel-binning for more sharpness & details, so by default, the primary rear camera takes 16 Megapixel photos & the front camera takes 8 Megapixel photos where four pixels are combined into one.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 SOC powers this device & there is 4GB RAM with 128GB ROM. The display on the front is a 6.39-inch IPS LCD panel. There is a 3,600mAh battery with TurboCharging support & the phone has a USB Type-C port alongside a headphone jack. Android 10 runs out of the box.

The Motorola One Action has an “Action Cam,” the Motorola One Macro has a Macro Lens & the Motorola One Zoom has a telephoto camera with 3X Optical Zoom. So, the names of all these phones make sense. But, what is there in the Motorola One Hyper that gives it this name? Well, we don’t know as of now.
