Motorola Edge 50 Fusion official renders leaked online

The phone looks premium!

Motorola will launch its Edge 50 series on April 3, and we know that there are at least two smartphones – Edge 50 Fusion & Edge 50 Pro. Both of these are mid-range smartphones, unlike last year, where the Edge 40 Pro was a flagship. We already know the key specifications of the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion, and today, the official renders of the phone have leaked, courtesy of Android Headlines.

Design-wise, the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion looks quite premium. The phone comes in three colors – Tidal Teal, Ballad Blue, and Peacock Pink. The phone has a curved display with a hole punch cutout, a dual camera setup on the rear, stereo speakers, an under-display fingerprint scanner, and a USB Type-C port on the bottom. As per the source, the display is protected with Gorilla Glass 5, and the phone has IP68 certification.

As for the specifications, the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset. This SOC was launched in 2022 and was the first SOC under the “6” series with the new naming style. Compared to the Snapdragon 695 SOC, the SOC offers up to 35% better CPU & 30% better GPU performance. On the AnTuTu benchmark, this SOC scores a little over 500,000 points.

The battery is 5,000mAh and the phone supports 68W fast wired charging.

Speaking of cameras, the phone has two on the rear. The primary camera has a 50MP sensor with OIS, and the ultrawide camera has a 13MP sensor. For selfies, there is a 32MP sensor. It is good to see Motorola not going for the useless 2MP sensors, and the ultrawide camera also has a higher resolution sensor than the typical 8MP one.

The display is a 6.7-inch pOLED. Finally, the phone runs on Android 14 out of the box.

Well, looking at the design and the specifications, this phone seems like the successor to last year’s Edge 40 Neo. The Edge 40 Neo had a similar design, featuring a vegan leather material on the back, a curved display, IP68 certification, a 50MP + 13MP dual camera setup, and more.

The price is not yet confirmed, but looking at the specs, the phone should launch in India under ₹25,000.
