Earlier this month, we got to see the designs of Motorola Edge 20 & Edge 20 Pro, as both these phones were spotted on TENAA. Along with that, we also got to know the specifications of all three phones under the Edge 20 series (the third one is Edge 20 Lite). Today, OnLeaks, in collaboration with Pricebaba, shared the high-quality renders of the vanilla Edge 20, which show the design from every angle. Some key specifications were also shared, which confirm the previous leaks.
So despite having “Edge” in its name, the Motorola Edge 20 doesn’t have a display with curved edges like last year. Instead, there is a flat panel on the front with a centered hole-punch cutout. The back seems to be made of glass & there is a triple camera setup on the rear. We can also notice the fingerprint scanner on the side, which means there is most probably an LCD on the front and not an AMOLED. Maybe that’s the reason why the phone has a flat panel.
The Edge 20 misses out on the 3.5mm headphone jack despite being a mid-range phone and not a flagship. So, all you get is a USB Type-C port on the bottom alongside which is the speaker grill.
OnLeaks reveals that the dimensions of the phone are 169.1 x 75.5 x 8.9mm & when we include the camera bump on the back, the phone is 11.6mm thick.
Some specifications were also confirmed by OnLeaks. So, Motorola Edge 20 has a 6.7-inch Full-HD+ panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, there is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chipset which is a 5G SOC. The phone offers 6GB of 8GB of RAM & 128GB or 256GB of onboard storage. The triple camera setup on the rear includes a primary 108 Megapixel camera paired with a 16 Megapixel ultra-wide shooter & a third 8 Megapixel sensor. This third camera is most probably a telephoto lens. As we know via the previous leak, there is a 4,000mAh battery as well.
We don’t yet know when Motorola is going to launch the Edge 20 family but looking at the leaks, the launch should not be very far.
