Almost two months ago, Motorola Edge 20 lineup went official globally with three smartphones under it, the Edge 20 Lite, Edge 20, and the Edge 20 Pro. Among these three phones, two are already available to buy in the Indian market. The Edge 20 Lite launched in India as the Edge 20 Fusion (with Dimensity 800U) but there was no change in the name for Edge 20. Now, two months after the launch of those two phones, Motorola has started teasing the launch of the flagship device under this series, the Motorola Edge 20 Pro.
Motorola posted a teaser on its Twitter page where the company confirmed that the phone is coming soon. There is no mention of the launch date yet, but since the Big Billion Day sale is happening on Flipkart next month, we are expecting the phone to launch in the first week of October.
Anyways, keeping the launch date aside, the Motorola Edge 20 Pro features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 5G SOC and has LPDDR5 RAM along with UFS 3.1 storage. So, this one is a flagship device from the brand. There is a triple camera setup on the back where the primary camera has a 108 Megapixel sensor, the secondary ultrawide camera has a 16 Megapixel sensor, and finally, there is an 8 Megapixel periscope-style zoom camera with 5X Optical Zoom as well as OIS. The phone also supports 8K video recording at 24fps and 4K at 60fps. There is a 32 Megapixel selfie camera that is also capable of 4K video recording.
The phone has a 4,500mAh battery and supports 30W fast charging. The display on the front is a 6.7-inch 10-bit OLED with a 144Hz refresh rate, FHD+ resolution, Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection, and HDR10+ support. There is Gorilla Glass 5 on the rear as well.
Well, since the Motorola Edge 20 starts at Rs 29,999 in the Indian market, we can expect the Motorola Edge 20 Pro to start somewhere around Rs 35,000.
