Last month, the Motorola Edge 20 lineup went official, which included three smartphones, namely the Edge 20 Lite, Edge 20 & Edge 20 Pro. Then, recently, Motorola started teasing the launch of the Edge 20 series in India and later also announced the launch date, i.e., August 17th. Motorola has confirmed via its teasers that one of the phones launching that day is the Motorola Edge 20 Fusion.
The Edge 20 Fusion is a rebranded Motorola Edge 20 Lite but with some changes. Among these, the biggest change is the chipset. While the Edge 20 Lite is powered by Dimensity 720 SOC, the Edge 20 Fusion gets MediaTek Dimensity 800U chipset. There might be some other changes as well but assuming that everything else is the same, the Edge 20 Fusion has a 6.7-inch 10-bit OLED with a 90Hz refresh-rate, Android 11, a 108 Megapixel camera on the back, a 5,000mAh battery, 30W fast charging, and a 32 Megapixel camera for selfies.
Along with the Edge 20 Fusion, the Motorola Edge 20 is also launching the same day in India. This one remains the same as for the global market. So, there is Snapdragon 778G SOC, a 6.7-inch 144Hz 10-bit OLED, Android 11, 108MP + 16MP + 8MP triple rear cameras, a 4,000mAh battery, 30W fast charging, and a 32 Megapixel selfie shooter.
Motorola is reportedly not bringing the Edge 20 Pro to the Indian market as of now, so that’s interesting. Nevertheless, the two phones that are launching on the 17th of August in India will be priced pretty aggressively.
