The first quarter of the year has already ended, and we got a lot of premium devices from brands like Samsung, Huawei, LG, Nokia, etc. Motorola has yet to launch its flagship for this year and assuming that the company would stick to its naming style, it would be the Moto Z4. The latest information reveals that it would be more like a mid-range phone instead of a high-end flagship from the brand.
91Mobiles claims that they got their hands on the internal marketing material which reveals the key specifications of the Z4. First thing first, the processor powering the phone is going to be the Snapdragon 675 which is an 11nm octa-core chip which powers phones like Redmi Note 7 Pro, Samsung Galaxy A70, etc. There is a 6.4-inch Full-HD+ OLED panel & an in-display fingerprint scanner.
On the rear, the Moto Z4 features a single 48 Megapixel sensor (most probably a Sony IMX 586) with the Quad Pixel technology to combine four pixels into one, resulting in a sharp 12 Megapixel image. Moreover, there would be Motorola’s Night Vision mode as well which is rumoured to arrive to other Motorola devices soon. On the front, there is a single 25MP camera placed in that small U-shaped cutout.
Like the rear camera, the front camera also has the Quad Pixel technology that results in sharp 6 Megapixel photos. Other camera features include AI Integration, Group Selfie mode, Portrait Mode, AR Stickers, etc.
The battery underneath is a 3,600mAh unit that supports Motorola’s TurboCharging as well. It is good to know that the 3.5mm headphone jack is still there. As we already know via the CAD renders (above), the Moto Z4 supports Moto Mods & so, it supports 5G networks via the 5G Moto Mod. Android 9 Pie runs out of the box with a couple of Motorola apps.
According to the internal marketing material, the Moto Z4 will have half the price of the flagships. But since it’s Motorola, expect the price to remain somewhere between $500-600.
