Motorola has already announced the Z2 Play officially, but still, it is not a device that can compete with the phones like S8, G6, OnePlus 5, Mi6, etc. The Moto Z2 launch is just around the corner, and today, the smartphone appeared on GFXbench which is a benchmarking platform and a trusted source for the specifications of the unannounced devices. Looking at the specs, we can say that it will be among the best smartphones of this year as it packs all the latest hardware and software.
Starting off with the display, the phone has a 5.5-inch Quad-HD AMOLED display and is powered by the Snapdragon 835 Octa-Core processor clocked at 2.4GHz. There is Adreno 540GPU, 4 Gigs of RAM and 64 Gigs of internal storage that can be expanded via the external microSD card.
Just like last year’s Moto Z, we are expecting to see a dedicated slot for microSD card. Now coming to the cameras, we know that the Moto Z is having a dual camera setup on the back as shown by the renders that leaked previously.
The GFXBench listing didn’t mention the dual camera setup as it shows 12MP rear and 5MP front-facing camera. But, the invitation poster of the Motorola event has already revealed that the Z2 has dual rear cameras. Anyways, the rear camera is capable of 4K video recording. The Moto Z2 runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box.’
Now, talking about the launch date, it was expected that the company might launch the phone officially on 27th June, but that didn’t happen. So, we are now looking ahead to the 30th June event where the device might launch. Stay Tuned.
