Moto Razr 2022 launched with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1

The last time Motorola launched a foldable phone was in 2020 when the company launched Moto Razr 5G. Almost two years later, we got a new foldable phone by Motorola & it is named the Moto Razr 2022. It is a clamshell foldable phone, so Motorola seems to have no plans for now to launch a horizontally folding phone, similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 4, Mix Fold 2, etc. While the previous Moto Razr foldables had a high price tag and mid-range specs, that is not the case with the Moto Razr 2022. This time, Motorola has gone all out with this phone.

Design-wise, the Razr 2022 looks different than previous Razr phones. There is no longer that chin on the bottom that had all the components in it. The fingerprint scanner is moved to the side, and there are dual cameras on the outside. The phone retains the big outer display instead of having a tiny screen as on the Z Flip 4. The foldable display is also improved, and there is no longer a notch for the selfie camera. Instead, the phone has a hole punch cutout. The hinge is also improved, which is quite expected since this phone is coming almost two years after the last foldable phone launched.

Speaking of the specs, Moto Razr 2022 is powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset and up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. There is a 2.7-inch OLED panel on the outside and a 6.7-inch 144Hz foldable OLED panel.

The dual camera setup includes a 50MP primary sensor with OIS and a 13MP sensor with an ultrawide lens (121-degree). The selfie camera has a 32MP sensor. Other features include a 3,500mA battery, Stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, MyUI 4.0, ReadyFor 3.5, etc.

Here is the pricing for the Chinese market –
