Motorola is on a launch spree this year, with the brand launching phones almost every month. Last month, we got the Moto G85 with a Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 chipset and a curved display. Now, the brand has announced the launch date of the Moto G45 5G in India. The launch is scheduled for August 21, and the key details of the phone were revealed by Flipkart. It is worth mentioning that the last phone in the Moto G4x series was the Moto G42, launched in 2022.
Design-wise, the phone looks similar to other budget phones launched this year by the brand. There are three color options, all with a vegan leather finish on the rear. The back has a dual-camera setup. There are flat sides and a flat display with a hole punch cutout for the selfie camera. The 3.5mm headphone jack is on the bottom, with the USB Type-C port and the speaker grill. The fingerprint sensor is on the side.
Looking at the renders, the bottom chin is pretty big on this phone. The reason is the LCD panel instead of an OLED. It is a 6.5-inch IPS LCD with a 120Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
Under the hood, the Moto G45 5G has the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 chipset, which is a slightly improved version of the Snapdragon 695. There are dual cameras on the back, where the primary camera has a 50MP sensor. Finally, the phone has 13 5G bands.
As for the price, the Moto G45 should be priced under ₹15,000 in India. There is already the Moto G64 5G under ₹15,000, so we won’t be surprised if the Moto G45 5G launches at a price lower than the price of the Moto G64 5G.
