Motorola has launched two new budget 5G phones in the global market, named the Moto G35 5G & Moto G55 5G. As the names suggest, these are the successors to the Moto G34 5G and the Moto G54 5G. The Moto G34 5G was launched with a Snapdragon 695 5G chipset and a 120Hz 720p display, whereas the Moto G54 5G featured a Dimensity 7020 chipset and a 120Hz FHD+ display.

Starting with the cheaper of the two, the Moto G35 5G comes in three colors – Guava Red, Midnight Black, and Leaf Green. The “Red” and “Green” variants feature a vegan leather finish on the rear, whereas the “Black” variant has a plain plastic back. The phone has a dual camera setup placed in the top left corner, and the camera module design is identical to the recently launched Motorola devices.

There is a hole punch design on the front and a flat frame. The phone has a stereo speaker setup with Dolby Atmos support, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Under the hood, the Moto G35 5G has the Unisoc T760 5G chipset, built on the 6nm process. There is 4GB or 8GB RAM with 128GB internal storage. The battery is 5,000mAh, and the phone supports 18W charging.

In terms of cameras, there are two on the rear. The primary camera has a 50MP sensor, and the ultrawide camera has an 8MP sensor. For selfies, the phone uses a 16MP sensor.

The display is a 6.72-inch Full-HD+ LCD with a 120Hz refresh rate. The Moto G34 5G had a 720p panel, so this is a notable upgrade. The display is protected with Gorilla Glass 3.

Finally, Android 14 runs out of the box.

The price starts at €199 in the European market.
