In January this year, the Moto G34 5G was launched in the Indian market with a Snapdragon 695 chipset, a 120Hz 720p LCD, and a 50MP camera for ₹10,999. Today, the brand launched its successor, the Moto G35 5G, in India. The phone brings a new chipset, an upgraded display, and fresh new colors.

Moto G35 5G

Design-wise, it looks identical to other budget Motorola phones launched recently. There is a dual camera setup on the rear, and the phone has a vegan leather finish on the back. There is a plastic frame and a display with a hole-punch cutout on the front. The phone has stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The device is IP52-certified.

While the Moto G34 5G had a 6.5-inch 720p LCD, the Moto G35 5G comes with a 6.72-inch Full-HD+ 120Hz LCD and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The chipset is the UNISOC T760, which is built on the 6nm process and comes with an octa-core CPU with four Cortex-A76 cores and four Cortex-A55 cores. The GPU is the ARM Mali G57. On the AnTuTu benchmark, this chipset scores over 450,000 points, which is one of the highest AnTuTu scores at this price.

The phone comes with a single storage configuration having 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. It would’ve been better if Motorola had offered the phone with 6GB RAM.

The battery is 5,000mAh, and there is 18W fast charging support.

The dual camera setup on the rear includes a 50MP sensor for the primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture and an 8MP sensor for the ultrawide camera. For comparison, the Moto G34 5G had a 2MP secondary rear camera, which was of no use. The selfie camera has a 16MP sensor. The primary rear camera can shoot 4K videos at up to 30fps.

Finally, Android 14 runs out of the box, not Android 15. The phone will get only one OS update.

The color options are Midnight Black, Leaf Green, and Guava Red. The single 4GB + 128GB variant is priced at ₹9,999. For comparison, the Moto G34 5G was launched at ₹10,999.
