Motorola is going to launch a new entry-level phone soon under its “G” series named the Moto G22, and today, we got to see the design of the phone as the official renders were shared by WinFuture along with the specifications. This phone is expected to launch under €200 in the European market.
Design-wise, it looks like any other budget phone with a hole punch display on the front and a big bottom chin, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a polycarbonate build. The 3.5mm headphone jack is on the top, whereas the Type-C port is on the bottom.
Moto G22 has a 6.53-inch OLED with a 720p resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. So, it is pretty interesting that being an entry-level device, not only does it have an OLED, but also a 90Hz refresh rate. The SOC powering this device is the MediaTek Helio G37, which is yet to be announced. This SOC has a PowerVR GE8320 GPU, the same as the Helio G35.
The triple camera setup on the back includes a primary camera with a 50MP sensor and an f/1.8 aperture lens. There is an 8MP sensor for ultrawide shots and a 2MP sensor for depth/macro photos. For selfies, the phone has a 16MP camera. Finally, Moto G22 has a 5,000mAh battery and supports 10W charging. Android 12 runs out of the box.
As of now, there is no information on the pricing and launch date, but looking at the specs, the phone is expected to launch well under €200 in Europe.
