Moto G13 & Moto G23 official renders & specifications leaked

Both phones are quite similar

Moto G13 & Moto G23 are the upcoming budget phones from the company, and recently, we got the official renders of the G23, the successor to the Moto G22, which had its design as the main USP. Today, some more renders were shared by @Sudhanshu1414 on Twitter, along with the official renders of Moto G13 & the specifications of both phones.

Design-wise, it is pretty hard to differentiate between the two phones. There is the same camera module design with the same text, flat sides, a hole punch design on the front, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, etc. And this similarity continues in the specifications.

Both phones have the same display. It is a 6.5-inch IPS LCD with a 720p resolution & 90Hz refresh rate. The display has 400 nits brightness & comes with Panda Glass protection. Both phones are powered by the same SOC – MediaTek Helio G85. Both have the same-sized battery at 5,000mAh and the same 50MP primary rear camera.

As for the differences, the Moto G13 supports 20W charging, compared to Moto G23’s 30W charging. The selfie camera on the Moto G13 has an 8MP sensor, compared to a 16MP sensor on the G23. On the rear, the second 2MP camera on the Moto G13 is for depth information & the third 2MP camera is for macro photos. On the other hand, the Moto G23 has a second 5MP camera for ultrawide photos & a third 2MP macro camera.

While the thickness of both phones is the same, the Moto G23 is also slightly heavier than the G13 – 184.25g vs. 183.4g.

Finally, both phones have stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, a USB Type-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, an IP52 rating, Android 13, NFC, 5GHz WiFi, and Bluetooth 5.1 support.

Considering these are budget phones from the brand, the design & specifications make them great value-for-money devices. The Moto G23 is expected to be priced at EUR 199, whereas the Moto G13 at EUR 159. Both phones will be offered in only one storage option – 4GB + 128GB.
