Moto G Fast & Moto E (2020) are company’s latest budget offerings
Motorola announced two new smartphones today named Moto G Fast & Moto E (2020). Both of these are budget offerings from Motorola & are priced at $199 & $149 respectively. Both will be available in the US starting June 12th & the pre-orders have already begun.
Moto G Fast features triple rear cameras, a rear-facing fingerprint scanner, and a hole-punch display on the front. There is a USB Type-C port on the bottom & the phone has a plastic build with a Water Repellent coating. The display on the front is a 6.4-inch HD+ IPS LCD panel with 19:9 aspect ratio. There is Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SOC paired with 3GB RAM & 32GB storage that is expandable via a microSD card up to 512GB.
The triple camera setup on the rear includes a primary 16 Megapixel camera with f/1.7 aperture lens, a 2 Megapixel secondary Macro camera, and an 8 Megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with 118-degree FOV. There is an 8 Megapixel camera for selfies. The rear camera can shoot 4K 30fps videos.
Finally, the Moto G Fast has a 4,000mAh battery & support for 10W charging. Android 10 runs out of the box. The phone comes in a single color option – Pearl White.
The Moto E (2020) has a dual-camera setup on the rear & a Waterdrop notch on the front. There is a huge bottom bezel as well. The fingerprint scanner is there on the rear as well. The phone comes with a Water-Repellent design & there is a micro-USB port on the bottom.
Moto E (2020) comes with a 6.2-inch HD+ LCD panel & there is Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 chipset powering it along with 2GB RAM & 32GB expandable storage.
The dual-camera setup on the back includes a primary 13 Megapixel camera with an f/2.0 aperture lens and a 2 Megapixel depth sensor. There is a 5-megapixel selfie camera. The rear camera can shoot up to 1080p 60fps videos.
Finally, the phone has a 3,550mAh battery & it charges via a 5W charger. Android 10 runs out of the box. There is a single color option – Midnight Blue.
Apart from the US, both these devices will be available in Canada this summer. There is no word on the launch in other markets.
