Motorola is currently on a launch spree, with the brand launching new phones almost every month. Today, we learned about an upcoming phone by the brand that is codenamed ‘Dubai+’ and is expected to launch as the Moto Edge 2022. We already know that this phone is powered by an unannounced MediaTek SOC that has the model number ‘MT6789’. But now, we have got even more details about the phone, along with the design.
The renders of the phone were shared by OnLeaks in collaboration with 91Mobiles. As we can see, the design remains unchanged when compared to other Motorola phones launched this year so far. So, there is a triple camera setup on the rear and a flat screen with a hole punch cutout in the center. The fingerprint scanner is present under the display, and there is no 3.5mm headphone jack. All that you get is a Type-C port on the bottom.
The Moto Edge 2022 has a 6.5-inch P-OLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate and a Full-HD+ resolution. It is powered by the MediaTek ‘MT6789’ SOC that reportedly has an octa-core CPU with two Cortex-A78 cores clocked at up to 2.6GHz & six Cortex-A55 cores clocked at up to 2.0GHz. There is a Mali-G79 GPU. The battery size is 5,000mAh, and the phone comes with 6GB or 8GB RAM and 128GB or 256GB storage.
The triple camera setup includes a 50MP primary sensor with OIS, a 13MP sensor for the ultrawide camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. There is a 32MP selfie camera. Finally, there is stylus support as well.
Well, the specifications suggest that it is a mid-range phone from the brand. We do not know the launch date of the pricing yet, so stay tuned for those details.
