Last year, we saw a ton of Moto devices being launched and the list includes the new Moto Z series, Moto G4 series, and Moto E3 Power. The Moto Zs and G4s have already got the Android Nougat update as promised by Motorola but it seems like the E3 Power users will have to seek for a custom ROM to experience Nougat on their phone. We are saying this because the company has announced that the E3 Power won’t be getting the Android N update and instead, it will stay on Marshmallow.
NO ANDROID NOUGAT UPDATE FOR MOTO E3 POWER

This thing was indicated previously when the company announced the list of eligible Moto phones for Android Nougat update and the Moto E3 Power are not there on the list. It is really sad for Moto E3 Power users because this phone was sold in few minutes after it was made available to buy. On its very first day of sale, more than 100K units of the phone were sold. The phone features a 5-inch 720p screen and is powered my a MediaTek MT6735P Quad-Core processor clocked at 1GHz. There is 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. Yes, the specs are nothing if we compare them with other budget smartphones but the main highlight of the phone is its battery. It packs a 3,500 mAh battery which is amazing regarding backup as we have low-end CPU and GPU on the phone.
Well, when the company launched it with MediaTek chip, it was pretty much confirmed that we won’t see any major update in future. Today, the company has confirmed it officially. As we said in the beginning, you will have to rely on any custom ROM for your phone in case you want to experience the latest Android.
