Motorola announced two new budget phones today, which come under the Moto E series. These phones are the Moto E22 and Moto E22i. As the names indicate, these phones are more affordable than the Moto E32, which launched in May. These two phones are not a lot different from each other. They have a similar design, the same SOC, the same display, the same battery size, and even the same cameras.

You might be thinking – What’s different then? Well, the difference is in the software. No, it is not like one phone is running the latest Android version, whereas the other is still on an older version. Both these phones are rocking Android 12. The difference is that Moto E22 runs on Android 12 whereas E22i on the Android 12 Go Edition.

Design-wise, it is hard to say that these are entry-level phones as they look so beautiful. Both phones are rocking stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos. The fingerprint scanner is present on the side.

Under the hood, there is MediaTek Helio G37 SOC which is built on the 12nm process. It is paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. There is a 6.5-inch IPS LCD with a 720p resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. The camera setup includes a 16MP primary sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies, there is a 5MP camera.

Finally, both phones have a 4,020mAh battery.

Moto E22 comes in two colors – Astro Black and Crystal Blue. On the other hand, the Moto E22i comes in Graphite Gray or Winter White. The price is €139.99 for the E22 and €129.99 for the E22i.

The Moto E22 is launching soon in various markets, including Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America. The E22i is launching in Asia as well, but not in Africa.
