It was in the November of 2020 when we got the IN Note 1 smartphone by Micromax, and it was one of the first phones to launch under this new ‘IN’ series from the brand. But, in 2021, the company did not launch a successor to the Note 1. But this month, we are getting the successor to the IN Note 1. Micromax IN Note 2 is officially launching in the Indian market on the 25th of this month, and the brand shared a teaser video on Twitter that reveals the design.
Design-wise, it seems like Micromax took inspiration from Samsung because we can see that the camera module on the back has a design similar to the Galaxy S21 series. There seems to be a Quad camera setup on the back. The phone has a plastic build, but there is a glossy finish on the back. Also, the sides are flat. On the front, the Micromax IN Note 2 has a display with a hole punch in the center, and there is a big chin on the bottom. The fingerprint scanner is on the right side.
Micromax also revealed that this phone has a 6.43-inch AMOLED on the front, not an LCD. Moreover, there are two color options – Black & Brown. We can also spot the ’48MP’ text on the camera module, confirming the primary 48MP sensor.
We do not have details regarding the rest of the specs, but there are some rumors about the phone powered by the Helio G95 SOC. While we cannot say if those rumors are correct, the Helio G95 is a good upgrade over the Helio G85 of the IN Note 1. We’ll know more when the phone launches in a few days. Stay tuned.
