Meizu is all set to launch yet another flagship device, as the launch of Meizu 16T is scheduled to happen on October 23rd in China. It is worth mentioning that a couple of months back, Meizu 16s Pro was made official with Snapdragon 855+, triple rear cameras & more. The 16T is going to be a flagship aimed at gamers since there are things like the snapdragon 855 SOC, UFS 3.0 storage, a big battery, etc.
The specifications of the phone have leaked a day before the launch as a user on Weibo shared them.
Compared to the previous Meizu flagships launched this year, the design isn’t going to be different. There is the same edge-to-edge display with minimal bezels all around & no notch or holes. The selfie camera is placed on the top bezel & there is an in-screen fingerprint reader.
On the rear, there is a triple camera setup placed on the top left.
There is a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED Full-HD+ display with up to 600 nit brightness. Under the hood, there is Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SOC with up to 8GB RAM & 256GB UFS 3.0 storage. For gaming, there is Game Mode, Stereo Speakers, Linear Vibration Motor, & yes, the phone has a headphone jack as well.
The Meizu 16T has a huge 4,500mAh battery with 18W Fast Charging support via USB Type-C port. Despite having a big battery, the device is just 8.3mm thick & weighs only 183g, so that’s impressive. Coming to the cameras, there is a triple camera setup that includes a primary 12MP shooter, a secondary 10MP camera (most likely an ultra-wide) & a third 5MP shooter. There is a 16MP selfie camera.
The Meizu 16T will have Flyme OS 8 running out of the box.
It is expected to be priced under 3,000 Yuan in China since it makes no sense to launch it at a starting price above 3,000 Yuan due to the competition that includes Redmi K20 Pro & Realme X2 Pro.
