LG announced the launch date of its ‘Velvet’ smartphone today, and in case you missed it, the launch is set to happen on May 7th. Now, LG has already given us a good look at the design of the phone via the official video, but still, we didn’t have any idea of the specs. Today, however, the alleged specs of LG Velvet leaked via a Korean Website so assuming that this leak is legit, we know also know the major specs of the phone.

LG Velvet Specs

This leak reveals that the phone features Snapdragon 765 5G SOC and weighs around 180 grams. The phone is just 7.85mm thick and comes with IP68 certification, something we don’t often see for mid-range phones. The triple camera setup on the back includes a primary 48 Megapixel camera paired with an 8 Megapixel Wide Angle camera and a 5 Megapixel depth sensor.

On the front, there is a single 16 Megapixel camera for selfies placed in a punch-hole cutout. Finally, the phone has a 4,300mAh battery inside, stereo speakers and comes with 8GB RAM + 128GB storage (expandable up to 2TB).

Another post on the same website reveals some more features via the official images that include Steady Cam, AI Sound (translation), Wireless Charging, MIL-STD rating, and Fast Charging.

As we know already, the LG Velvet comes in four colors – Black, White, Green and a Gradient color. So, the only thing that’s left to know now is the pricing, and that’s what going to decide if this phone would be a hit or a flop from LG.
