LG Velvet launches in India at Rs 36,990 with Dual Screen support

In May this year, LG launched ‘Velvet’, a 5G mid-ranger featuring a beautiful design. Later, LG launched the 4G version of the Velvet that had the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset. Now, LG Velvet (4G) has made its way to the Indian market at a price tag of Rs 36,990. For this price, the phone is undoubtedly overpriced considering that the LG G8X with Snapdragon 855 is currently selling for under Rs 25,000! Apart from the design, another USP of the Velvet is that it has the Dual Screen support so you can buy the LG Dual Screen accessory & use it with this device. It is worth mentioning that you have to buy the Dual Screen accessory separately so its not the same case as the LG G8X with which you get the Dual Screen accessory in the box.

LG Velvet comes with a 6.8-inch P-OLED panel with Full-HD+ resolution & Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset. Yes, the phone has a chipset from 2018! The triple camera setup on the rear includes a primary 48 Megapixel camera with f/1.8 aperture, a secondary 8 Megapixel ultrawide camera with 120-degree FOV, & a 5 Megapixel depth sensor. The primary camera can shoot 4K 30fps videos. There is a single 16 Megapixel camera on the front for selfies.

There is a 4,300mAh battery inside & there is 25W Fast Charging support via the Type-C port. Thanks to the Glass back, there is also support for Wireless Charging. Some other notable features include IP68 certification, LG 3D Sound Engine, MIL STD-810 G, in-display fingerprint scanner, Dual Screen support, Bluetooth 5.1 etc.
